Principal's Corner

The Natomas Unified School District is excited to announce that Aimee Smith has been selected as the new principal of Natomas Park Elementary School! “I am honored and excited to be accepting the position of principal at Natomas Park Elementary School.  I am looking forward to joining the team of such a vibrant and dedicated community of students, families, and educators.  My vision is for us to grow a culture of pride in our school, knowing we are all working toward each student reaching their full potential. Our team will work together to ensure that learning remains inspiring and engaging for all," shared Smith.

Mrs. Smith started her career in education 10 years ago as a middle school teacher in the San Juan Unified School District, where she taught history courses, served as the AVID Coordinator, Advisor for Student Government, and member of the school’s Leadership Team.  She later became an assistant vice principal, where she supported four schools, including two middle and two high schools, before becoming a vice principal.

Mrs. Smith is a collaborative leader and looks forward to connecting with staff and families to hear their thoughts and aspirations for Natomas Park students and the community. She will be reaching out to staff and families later in July with details for an in-person meet and greet before the school year begins.

She is excited to get started, and we are grateful to have her as part of the Natomas Unified family. “Thank you for welcoming me to Natomas Park - I am eager to begin this next chapter with you,” said Smith.
